Introduction: Ensure smooth functioning of HR Operations payroll and adhere to compliance and policy guidelines.Lead the team into Operational Growth and to achieve stipulated SLA’s to proactively build relationships with stake holders (internal and external). What will you be doing? Accountable for driving end to end service delivery for assigned Regional (India & APAC) Payroll OperationsFull ownership and accountability for all activity required to deliver and executing the processes for the service line, working in partnership with the Regional Lead to manage payroll globallyResolve escalated issues in regard to complex queries and/or requests for exceptions to standard process and service delivery issuesOwn service reviews with business leaders (e.g. Regional HR Services Leads and Global Service Centres Leads) analysing performance, identifying trends and recommending new ideas and solutions to improve operational efficiencyWork with the regional leads for the service line to drive common global processes where possibleDriving a Continuous Improvement mind-set/culture across all teams; Ongoing review & maintenance of the service catalogue with relevant stakeholdersAccountable for driving operational excellence throughout our control environmentResponsible for ensuring operational resilience is continually maintainedManage and drive optimisation of Performance, Resilience and Control of the serviceAccountable for ensuring appropriate governance and documentation is in place and maintained to manage delivery of the service effectively o Ensure all service (and payroll related process) procedures are fully in-place and continually evaluated for greater efficiency and better colleague experience. o Accountable for following agreed Governance processes for process changes that impact the EPT and 1 level below (Payroll Operations) Partner collaboratively with Business Management Lead to ensure services committed to delivering through the HR Operations Service Catalogue are delivered at cost, efficiently and in line with control/governance principles but at all times focusing on the customer/colleague to achieve best solution and outcome for them.Accountable for ensuring delivery meets all agreed service level agreements and key performance metrics, including where the service is delivered through 3rd partiesResponsible for providing Global Process reporting to the Payroll Service Manager including regional and legal entity variation rationale as appropriatePartner with the Service Improvement Team to ensure any changes to process, systems or continuous improvement suggestions are discussed and managed appropriatelySetting clear direction and targets and diligently measuring success – cascading strategy clearly and communicating progressResponsible for setting individual and team objectives, and working closely with the regional leads to provide inputs to appraisals for the teams across regions for the function. Areas of Responsibility Payroll Activities: Management of audits such as Finance Audit, Tax Audit, RBI Audit and Internal BIA & CCO Audit. All statutory audit findings and outcome are submitted to the legal entity BoardFull & Final Settlement management for exited colleagues.Emergency and Interim Pay-out managementVendor Management – Effective management of payroll vendors through various forums like, supplier governance forums, monthly performance review meeting etcPayroll Query Management – Effective management of the query and adhere to SL agree upon.All Central and State compliance related statutory filingsResponsible for managing the reply to Government institution notices related to all Statutory obligationsSupport for monthly payroll processing for c30000 employees of India and APACEnd to End activity management of Overpayment and UnderpaymentsResolution of enquiries from Group Tax, Legal, ER, Rewards, Senior Leadership Team & Business HR & Payroll Compliance Ensuring all compliances are met with respect to those mandated by Barclays Group and Regulatory relevant to the function being handled.Participating in all audits pertaining to the function and ensuring successful closures.Ensuring all controls listed under function RCAs (Risk and Control Assessments) are properly documented and are being operating effectively.Escalating issue to the notice of Manager- HR / Leader- HR Ops and Compliance, if required.Performing conformance testing, management self-assessments, publishing test results to VP – HR Ops.Retaining evidences of test performedCoordinate with the onshore team for compliance requirements, providing all evidences as required by the onshore or any third party audit SpocTo ensure error-free payroll processing and timely payments for all India and APAC employees.Ensuring all compliances are met with respect to those mandated by Barclays Group and Regulatory relevant to the function being handled.Participating in all audits pertaining to the function and ensuring successful closures.Managing the suppliers and their performance with respect to function.Ensuring all controls listed under function RCAs (Risk and Control Assessments) are properly documented and are being operating effectively.People Management skills, including designing of job descriptions, KROs and assessing team performance at regular intervals or as governed by Barclays Group PD Policy What we’re looking for: Experience in India and APAC Payroll Knowledge and technical factors revolving around Payroll systems and OperationsBachelor’s Degree or EquivalentExtensive experience with managing HR delivery teamsDemonstrable experience with managing stringent performance requirements.Demonstrable experience with continuous improvement / LEANExperience with working with globally diverse teamsExcellent communication skills Skills that will help you in the role: Experience with structured Process mapping using Blue works or other BPM toolsExposure to HR tools and technology – SAP, Success Factors, Case management and workflow tools, interactive portals, HR analytics tools etc Where will you be working?
