MetroEHS Pediatric Therapy is looking for a Full-Time HR Assistant to join our outstanding team at our Administrative Office in Plymouth!
HR Assistant Duties:
· Onboarding of New Hires
· Complete new employee background checks to include IChats, sex offender checks, OIG and EPLS checks prior to start date.
· Check new hire identification through I-9 and E-Verify
· Register employees for NPI #’s when needed
· Send out DHS clearance forms before hire and annually thereafter
· Conduct New Hire Orientation
· Record Maintenance: This person is responsible for maintaining organized and up-to-date HR files. This includes information on employee benefits, employment status, paid time off, sick time or any other employee nonproductive hours. They may also keep files of performance appraisal information, grievance or corrective action. · File Audits: The HR assistant is responsible for performing HR file audits to ensure that all required documents are collected and are maintained in employee files. File audits should be done at least annually.
· Credentialing of employees for Community Mental Health Services, i.e. Medversant
· Employee Advocate: This position often acts as an advocate for employees and conveys employee issues and concerns to management for resolution. They are the eyes and ears of employees and alerts management of underlying issues that may need to be addressed.
· Employee Recognition: A human resource assistant may help plan and oversee employee recognition events. This could include planning the annual employee picnic, Christmas party or overseeing an employee recognition dinner. They are the employee cheerleader and helps to create a fun and engaging employee environment.
· Clerical Support: This person also provides clerical support duties for the HR manager. This would include answering emails & questions from staff, possible travel to clinic locations and other miscellaneous duties.
· Assist in Audits with the Agencies
· Conduct exit interviews, analyze findings and make recommendations to reduce turnover.
· Maintain Various Systems: PayChex, MHwin, other county systems and our EMR System (Raintree) as it relates to onboarding, HR and ongoing needs.
· Aides in the implementation or automation of HR policies and practices, including the Employee Handbook.
· Stay up-to-date with HR Federal, State and Local laws.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
· Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
· Customer service skills.
· Ability to respond to emails timely and effectively.
· Information research skills.
· Knowledge of medical provider credentialing and accreditation principles, policies, processes, procedures, and documentation
· Experience with credentialing for private insurance and county community mental health.
· Working knowledge of clinical operations and procedures.
· Ability to use independent judgment and to manage and impart confidential information.
· Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion in all communications on behalf of credentialing applicants and/or applications.
· Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments.
· Demonstrated advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
· Ability to learn new applications to function effectively.
· Skill in establishing priorities with independent coordination of day-to-day aspects.
· Advanced skills in computerized spreadsheeting and database management.
Minimum Job Requirements:
· High school diploma or GED; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
· Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
