Human Resources Coordinator, Full Time Monday – Friday 8AM – 4:30PM Rate of Pay: $20
Opportunity Awaits on the beautiful Island of Hawaii… Courtyard by Marriott King Kamehameha’s Kona Beach Hotel currently has an opening for a talented Full Time Human Resources Coordinator to share the aloha spirit and strive to create a memorable guest experience.
Brief Summary of Job: Along with the Human Resources Director, the Human Resources Coordinator provides coordination and assistance for a variety of activities and functions for the Hotel within the Human Resources team.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the job include but are not limited to: ____ Maintaining a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times, while providing personalized service to our team members and guests. ____ Encouraging and building mutual trust, respect and cooperation among team members. ____ Maintaining complete and strict confidentiality of all department and company matters. ____ Monitoring hiring and recruitment processes for compliance with company policies and standards. ____ Assisting internal and external job seekers with online application process. ____ Maintaining recruiting applicant flow, offer, background screen, onboarding and start date, including internal transfers. ____ Coordinating new hire background check orders. ____ Assisting in creating and maintaining paperless electronic new hire/team member files and enter them into paperless Human Resources Information System. ____ Supporting onboarding process of new hires including necessary documentation required to bring on the first day of employment in order to complete the I-9 employment verification forms, name tag, uniform, locker, and orienting new team members on Hotel resources. ____ Acting as a greeter by welcoming all calls and inquiries with a friendly and helpful manner. ____ Assisting in supporting team member benefit activities. ____ Assisting in processing department invoices. ____ Creating or updating Human Resource flyers, bulletin boards and other posting locations. ____ Assisting with team member relations events and recognition, as needed, including Team member Luncheon, Holiday Party, etc. ____ Serving as a Marriott Global Source EID administrator. ____ Maintaining complete knowledge at all times of: All hotel features/services, hours of operation and all department policies and procedures. ____ Partnering closely with other departments within the Hotel to provide and ensure highest quality service to customers. ____ Perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.
Management retains the discretion to add or change the duties of the position at any time.
Knowledge/Education/Experience: Computer literate and highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel). Strong verbal and written communication skills. College degree or equivalent education and/or minimum two (2) years previous hotel/ hospitality or administrative experience required. Experience in a union environment is preferred.

Ability to prioritize, organize and complete work assignments. Ability to maintain good team member relations. Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations. Strong attention to detail.
