Job Description
Financial Analysis & Management Reporting
Work closely with the accounting leaders to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Prepare a summary of the analysis and findings for correction. Participate in monthly financial reviews and coordinate with accounting leaders to ensure all discrepancies are corrected and explained.
Perform financial analysis required by management and other department
Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports for C-leaders and align them with their current financial performance.
Budgeting & Financial Planning
Lead the budget activities required to be done by analysts. Ensure activities are monitored and issues are resolved.
Perform analysis of the submitted budget ensuring alignment with financial plans and targets.
Forecasting
Coordinate with department and C-leaders to gather data for change in plan as a result of trend change.
Prepare financial forecasts based on past, current, and forecasted trends and financial conditions.
Measure accuracy of forecast by comparing against actuals and identify reasons for variance.
Process Improvements
Lead development of management reporting products through enterprise applications such as Google Suite and PowerBI.
Suggest improvements such as automation of reports and processes to improve team efficiency.
Profit Enablement
Identify cost items that could be optimized considering both quantitative and qualitative aspects through analysis of trends and variance, and process checks.
Controllership
Identify risks on processes of different departments and setup controls that are necessary in achieving the organization’s financial goals.
Report to management opportunities identified from financial and operational analyses.
Provide support to different departments for all their financial requests. Recommend actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; study proposed changes in processes and materials
Report the results of the cost optimization efforts. Replicate best practices with other departments that can benefit from it.
People Management
Provide guidance and assistance to all analysts especially for new tasks.
Ensure deadlines are met and all issues are resolved.
Boost morale and motivate individuals to perform better by celebrating wins through regular happy hours and other engagement activities.
Maintain a good working environment for the team and ensure conflicts are immediately resolved.
Ad Hoc
Prepare ad hoc reports required by management and external stakeholders for decision making.
Align and globalize processes that vary per region.
