Full Job Description :-
Job Location: Sri City or Chennai with at least 2 days per week spent at each location
Exp: : Post graduate degree in management, law, educational administration or related areas from a top tier institution
Strong preference for candidate with Experience in dealing with the government and other regulators and a sound understanding of rules and regulations, policies and procedures with respect to higher education
Education: 20+ years of experience in operations of which at least 5 years must be in a related role in a university offering undergraduate and postgraduate programs
Reporting to: Vice Chancellor, Krea University
Salary: As per Institution standard
The Registrar is a statutory position in the university responsible for all operating matters in the areas of academic administration, administration of the university’s campus and offices, human resources management, legal and secretarial matters, accreditation, and regulatory and statutory compliance.
The Registrar shall be responsible for:
Staying abreast of regulatory matters pertaining to the functioning of the university and maintaining relationships with central and state government agencies connected to higher education and research, including but not limited to ministries and departments of Higher Education, Science & Technology, University Grants Commission etc.
Identifying, collaboratively developing, and reviewing the implementation of various policies of the university and the operation of various committees associated thereof
Providing oversight to the Office of Academic Administration and the Office of the Controller of Examination; coordinating and regulating in close coordination with the schools and the Offices of Academic Administration and Examination all matters pertaining to the integrity of student records, curriculum prerequisites, fee management, graduation eligibility, transcripts and degrees, and convocation related procedures and processes
Providing strategic oversight on all human resource matters and working closely with institutional leadership and the Director – HR in building a performance-oriented culture that is aligned to Krea’s mission, DNA, and values
Coordinating and regulating all aspects including fiscal matters, pertaining to the smooth administration of the campus and city office in close coordination with the Chief Administrative Officer
Ensuring that all commercial contracts, intellectual property right agreements, partnership and grant agreements among others capture their true intent and minimize legal exposure of the university and that the university is adequately represented against any disputes, claims, or litigation
Providing strategic oversight to the accreditation function of the university and ensuring that the university’s submissions with respect to different accreditation and assessment agencies are of high quality and accuracy with active change management to improve on identified areas of operations
Serving as the member secretary in meetings of the Governing Council, Executive Council, Academic Council and Board of Management and ensuring that the agenda papers and all records pertaining to such meetings are properly documented
