This in turn helps us to provide better support to our broad client base. The Role Responsibilities 5 to 8 years’ experience performing high level system administration in Linux/Sun/AIX environments. Working knowledge of VERITAS Clusters. Experience on Sun, Dell, AIX, IBM Hardware, SAN storage Experience in writing Shell or Perl script. Experience in NIS/NFS, LDAP. Experience on Jumpstart installation/Trouble shooting. Strong concepts of networking like TCP / IP Good hands on experience on Red hat Linux enterprise System administration and trouble shooting. Good Hand-on experience on Sun Solaris 8/9/10. RAID and LVM Management DNS server Administration Knowledge of shell scripting. Capability to plan and execute UNIX Security. Identify the existing operational hygiene issues with the process impacting effectiveness and remediate them Remediate the non-compliance reported in the control framework globally. ITIL process knowledge Communication – proven ability to communicate to staff, able to manage downwards, outwards and upwards. Process –background – driving adherence to process. Regulatory & Business Conduct Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct. Key Stakeholders Technology Services Head, Business owners, Managers (direct reports), System administrators, Developers, Project Managers, Change coordinators and application support teams. Our Ideal Candidate Industry certifications will be a plus e.g. Red Hat Certified, AIX , AWS, VMware and Clustering certifications Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, Computer Science/Information Technology or its equivalent. Between 08 – 12 years of in-depth, hands-on working knowledge in Platform Unix (Linux, Solaris technologies, Operational experience in a global environment Well-versed in risk management processes, should be able to direct and guide a team of risk management profession in their efforts to manage the operational risk in the bank. Audit Management – Should be able to participate in Group audits and contribute significantly in defining and delivering the team’s response to any queries from the regulators and auditors. Process Management – Demonstrate personal ownership of assignment. Ensure that the bank’s processes are always followed within the team. Proven ability to manage diverse stakeholder expectations Able to identify and explain challenges to both technical and not technical people Excellent oral/written communication skills for articulating thoughts clearly with stakeholders ranging from engineers to senior business management.
