Creation of VMs and installing different guest OS like windows and Linux flavors. Performing Snapshots, Cloning, cold migrations and hot migrations. P2V and V2V conversions by using VMware Converter. Configure Virtual Networks on Standard and Distributed switches. Configure Security and load balancing policies on the Virtual switches. Setting up NIC teaming and failover / failback policies. Configure Alarms, Host profiles, Scheduled Tasks, Distributed Power Management (DPM) and Fault Tolerance (FT). Also worked on vCenter plugins like Update manager, guided consolidation and vCenter Converter. Working on Migration concepts like Vmotion, Storage Vmotion and Cold migration. Creation of templates from VMs and Creation of Vms from templates and allocating resources. Patching of ESX OS, attaching baselines and checking for compliance. Creation of Raw Device Mapping (RDM) disks for VM, Auto Deploy, Uplink and EVC for different hosts. Well aware of ITIL techniques and methodology. Troubleshooting problems with the help of Event Logs. Configuration and managing of Permissions in VC Server.
