Robelle Industries is seeking a Full Time Order Picker for its Braintree, MA location.
We are seeking an energetic, motivated and reliable Order Picker to ensure the accurate and timely delivery of products. Responsibilities would include team-oriented tasks such as picking, packing, assembly, and shipping of orders to meet the facility’s productivity and quality goals. An order picker must be always on time and able to work long hours on their feet. The picker will utilize order sheets and handheld scanners to pick a wide variety of items. The picker will check containers for damage, and confirm correct items and quantities are selected.
Robelle Industries has been supplying swimming pool chemicals, accessories and pool fun products to regional and national chains, as well as New England pool specialty dealers since 1973. Based in our 350,000 square foot facility and fueled by cutting-edge cloud-based software, paired with fully integrated shipping programs, our fulfillment center provides exceptional service for all our accounts.
Order Picker responsibilities are, but not limited to:
Retrieve orders according to quantity, size, etc. ensuring accuracy
Counting out the appropriate number of goods to fulfil an order.
Selecting ordered items by use of handheld barcode scanning devices.
Build pallets with orders and position them to loading docks/ shipping department.
Performing general warehouse duties as necessary.
Picking order as requested by management
Placing orders on pallets and securing with shrink wrap and strapping.
Complying with OSHA and other safety regulations
Keep management and supervisors aware of product shortages in order to maintain accurate inventory.
Organize stock and merchandise within the warehouse by properly boxing and storing goods in their designated location.
Accurately package, label and weigh items to be shipped and ensure proper shipment method and shipping charges are chosen for order to arrive safely.
Skills/Qualifications:
Experience working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Experience with handheld scanning devices preferred but not required.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Proficient organizational skills, great attention to detail and punctual.
Ability to maintain a high level of physicality for prolonged periods and working primarily standing. Ability to lift 50 pounds, as many packages are large.
Experience with software such as Microsoft Excel and other programs (preferred not required).
Interpersonal and verbal communication skills are essential, as working as a team is vital to maintaining an organized warehouse.
Ability to problem solve quickly and prioritize daily tasks according to their importance.
Ability to learn/become certified with power equipment including power hand jacks
Ability to work nights/weekends/holidays when needed
Ability to work up to 50 hours per week when needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 – $21.00 per hour
